About Me

From Loss to Growth — Building Resilience One Plant at a Time

I have always believed that the difference between mediocrity and success is obsession—but I have learned that the heart of resilience is compassion.

My Journey

My path has never been straight. I was the TAG kid, the Math Pentathlete, the high-performance musician, the multi-sport athlete—from gymnastics to rugby. I learned discipline early, but I also learned that excellence doesn’t fit neat boxes. I failed classes that didn’t ignite me, thrived in impossible challenges, and discovered that moving forward requires forgiving the parts of ourselves that don’t fit the mold.

Then came the wilderness years—warehouse jobs, misdiagnosis, work that didn’t match my skills. But I never stopped building. Obsessing over systems. Combining disciplines. Watching others transform and thinking: If they can, so can I.

The Fire & What Survived

In April 2025, a fire stripped everything down to the foundation. I lost my cameras, my work, nearly all my plants. But in the wreckage, I found survivors—plants that had lived a month in darkness, in muck and mold, still reaching for light. They taught me what I needed to know: life doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. It simply persists.

Every plant I grow is a brushstroke against absurdity

Now, every plant I grow is a brushstroke against absurdity—a creative act of defiance in the face of meaninglessness. The TAG kid’s logic, the athlete’s discipline, the musician’s precision, the warehouse worker’s systems—all of it converges here, in soil. This nursery is built from loss and grown with intention. Each cutting I share says: you can begin again.

Inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s Brushstrokes series (1965-1966) and the Absurdist movement—particularly Albert Camus’s philosophy of creating meaning through revolt against life’s inherent meaninglessness.

My Mission

I cultivate high-performance plants to serve as living symbols of resilience. My goal is to provide more than just beauty; I provide the “scaffolding” for a structured, intentional life. I am here to prove that no matter how much is lost, we can always choose to begin again with absolute quality.

My Core Values

Obsession Over Mediocrity

I don’t believe in “good enough.” I apply the same high-performance discipline I learned in music, athletics, and design to every plant I grow. If it leaves my nursery, it has met my personal standard of excellence.

Intellectual & Technical Integrity

I value truth and precision, from accurate botanical research to the “clean architecture” of my business. I provide you with the same honesty and depth of knowledge that I demand for myself.

Radical Compassion & Forgiveness

Life is unpredictable and often absurd. I operate with deep empathy for the human experience, recognizing that we are all rebuilding something. I choose to forgive the chaos and move forward with grace, every single day.

The Art of Care

My obsession doesn’t end at the greenhouse door. I put the same intentionality into my “plant burrito” packaging as I do into the growing process, ensuring that the care I give my plants is the same care that delivers them safely to you.

Focus on What Lasts

Equipment and collections can burn, but character and connections remain. I build this business on the belief that the most important thing I can grow—beyond any leaf or root—is a community rooted in love and mutual support.
